Snow fun

We got more snow over the weekend (and then more on Wednesday). I do love winter and snow-but am looking forward to spring. I will not complain about the snow or cold until March 20- the first day of Spring!
Arya had not really had a chance to play in the snow this winter, so on Monday she and I bundled up and went with Teddy into the backyard.
Bundled up and ready to head out. She was so excited when I told her we were going to go outside. She immediately informed me that we needed to get her shovel.

She also wanted to make a snowman but it wasn't the right kind of snow; it was too powdery. Instead we packed snow in a bucket and made mounds of snow.

We were only outside for about 15 minutes until it was too cold. As we headed inside Arya started crying saying her fingers hurt. I said "Well at least it was fun while we were out there, right?" She replied, "No! No fun!" despite the fact that she was smiling and laughing while we had been out there.

'NO!

Arya currently pronounces "snow" as " 'no." This is odd to me because all other times she can pronounce her S's.
Last week, while we were in Iowa, Kansas City got a lot of snow. Enough snow that Bradley's classes were cancelled (Why couldn't that be when we are home!?).
Yesterday we got a fresh coating of snow, and of course Arya was excited and so cute.

Arya's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Arya's birthday with a family birthday party on January 11. It was Minnie Mouse themed.
Everyone was required to take a picture wearing Minnie Mouse ears:

Grandma Debbie

Gramma Suzanne

Mommy

Pa (Grampa Brian)

Daddy

Uncle Brian

Aunt Mary

Great-Aunt Dee

Great-Uncle Steve

Great-Aunt Janelle
Aunt Shannon

Uncle Terry

 The Cake:

Arya loved blowing out the candles and us singing happy birthday- so much so that it all happened three times. Each time we did it she'd say "Again!" We told her no after the third time. We said three times since it was her third birthday.

Presents:

She LOVED this Minnie Laptop from Great-Grandma Joan. Too bad she opened it first, it made her not want to continue opening presents. She just wanted to play with the laptop.

She was excited to get VeggieTales from Aunt Shannon & Uncle Terry

Since she loved the sleeping bag at Christmas, Uncle Terry gave her one! She has slept in it for a couple nights and most her naps since!
