Hook Family Christmas

We had Christmas with Bradley's family on Christmas Eve at Aunt Mary and Uncle Brian's new house.
Arya loved their cat. Thankfully, Ali was compliant.

Arya reaching for Chex Mix and Christmas cookies on the counter.

Arya modeling one of her presents from Daddy. He gave her ear muffs so her hair doesn't get messed up, but is still protected from the cold. I love the expression on her face!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Arya knows to bundle up before heading out.

Sleepy Santa

I said in the Library post, that I wanted to give Santa another go. This time we went out to Legends (a shopping center near us) to see their Santa. (I was happy because he had a real beard!) Arya has not been taking naps for the last few weeks- so every time we go somewhere in the evening she goes out like a light. Today was no exception. At least it meant she wasn't afraid of Santa! And it did make for some cute pics.

Trimming the Tree

Here is Arya decorating the tree. She is wearing her Christmas dress. You can't see in these pictures but her socks also have snowflakes on them to match her dress.

Back at Halloween

Back in October we had a Halloween party. One of our friends, Jenny came and brought her practicum student, Sean with her. Sean and Arya had a grand time playing the piano together.
(I just got these pictures from Jenny last night.)

Home Fellowship

At our church we have home fellowship groups. On Thursday the group we go to had a Christmas party. We had a taco bar and did a white elephant gift exchange.

If you look in the background you see Eric making faces/playing with Arya.

Josh showing off the gift he ended up with. He traded with us afterwards so that Arya could have the Elmo book.

Afterwards, Arya and Cassia had some fun. (I do not believe in getting a baby's ears pierced. Arya can get her ears pierced, if she so desires, when she is old enough to clean them and take care of them herself.) Arya was fascinated by Cassia's clip-on earrings.

Saturday With Santa

On Saturday we went to one of Arya's favorite places... THE LIBRARY! They were doing "Saturday with Santa/" We got there right at the start as I had been told it gets busy and that we wanted to make sure Arya got a time slot.
If you remember this is last year (in Iowa):

Well, this year Arya is scared of Santa... He was really nice giving Arya time to warm up...which she never did. This was all we were finally able to get:
I am hoping we get to see another Santa this year to try again. (And I prefer Santa's with real beards.)

After seeing Santa she was given a candy cane and a present (it was a book, remember we were at the library). I think it might have gone better if Santa would have been the one to hand her the candy cane and present.

They also had craft tables set up. We did two crafts- a snowflake and a wreath ornament.

These next few were an attempt to get a picture of her with the two ornaments. She didn't want to display them for us.

And then she hung out in the Children's section of the library for a while.
