Prime Movie Watching Position

Arya has situated herself on the couch like this on her own many times. She crawls onto the couch lays on the pillow and pulls that blanket over herself. It is adorable to watch. In this picture she even has her own bowl of "popcorn" (actually it's cherrios, but it's like when a grown up has a bowl of popcorn while watching a movie).

A few of my favorite things: 18 Months

Some of Arya's favorite things have changed since I last did a post with this title. I will occasionally do these as her likes/dislikes change.
Person: Mommy

Playmate: Teddy (our chow-shepherd mix)

Thing to play with: Blocks. She has wooden blocks, rubber blocks, and Duplo blocks. She loves them all, She has become skilled at stacking them and is very good about picking them up and putting them away.

Place to play: Outside

Thing to sleep with: Still her Tigger lovey! (We have three! You MUST have back ups!)

Favorite blanket: Well, she has to have two when she goes to bed. Her muslin SwaddlePlus and her fuzzy Pooh blanket.

Outfit to wear:  Lately she hangs out in just a diaper because it's so hot. But when clothed, she always takes off her pants. She prefers dresses and skirts.

TV show: She is mesmerized by the opening credits to Star Trek: Voyager. (Daddy is currently watching it on Netflix.)

Food: Pizza, Waffles, Olives.  She HATES chicken, broccoli and green beans.

Arya's New Toy

Daddy took Arya shopping today. They came home with something very speical...her very own "splash pad!!!" Now all that fun she had can be experienced, on a (much) smaller scale, in our front yard. Here are pictures from her first use of it.

Crazy Saturday Pictures

Arya looked really cute in her little outfit today so I thought we should take some pictures. Well, some of them turned out cute, some hilarious. Here is a glimpse of what it usually takes to get a good picture of Arya.

18 Month Stats

Arya had her 18 month check up on Monday. There was one vaccination and a blood draw. With the shot she bled a lot and the nurse freaked out. With the blood draw she cried so hard, but held completely still- such a trooper!
Here are her stats:
25lb  85%
32.5in 75%
This is the highest she has ever been in the percentiles.

Adventureland!

Gramma and Grampa enjoy going to the Adventureland amusement park up in Iowa. They called us a few weeks ago and invited us to go with them. They have a season pass and wanted to take Arya. So Friday we drove up and spent the night with my Grandma Joan. Gramma Suzanne and Grampa Brian camped in the motorhome. Saturday morning we drove out to meet them. Aunt Shannon and Uncle Terry met us around lunch time.

Grampa and Mommy went on the Log Ride to cool off.

After lunch Gramma and Grampa took Arya back to the motorhome so she could have a nap. While they were doing that Aunt Shannon, Uncle Terry, Daddy and Mommy rode rides.

After the nap, we all met up in waterpark part of Adventureland. It is fairly new so I had never experienced it before. It was a lot of fun. The only pictures taken were of Arya at the splash pad area of it. (Of course, it wasn't safe to take the camera with to get pics in the lazy river, wave pool, and on the slides. But Arya was SO cute in the inner tube on the lazy river.)

After the water park we went on to ride more rides and play games.

Balloons!

Gramma and Grampa stopped by for a short visit on their way home from Oklahoma two Sundays ago. While they were here Mommy, Daddy and Grampa made balloon creations.

I like how here she's looking at you out of the corner of her eye.
