Chatterbox

Arya is quite the talker. One of her new phrases is "Come here:." She says "Mommy!" When I respond she curls her whole hand and says "Come here!"
She also says "Sowwy" a lot. Yesterday we were at Target and an employee cut us off. The employee apologized and Arya repeated her.
She still says "George" for Curious George, but her favorite character is Hundley. Whenever she sees a wiener dog she calls it Hundley.
Little Einsteins is referred to as "boy." And Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is called "Mouse."

Arya LOVES Gramma Suzanne's banana bread. She says "Breaf" which means breakfast and/or banana bread. The other day I gave her three slices of banana bread. She ate two and took the third slice downstairs on a napkin. After a while I asked if I could have the last slice. She said, "No. It's mine. Sowwy." It cracked me up. Later she wrapped the bread in the napkin and did give it to me.

Arya loves telling Teddy what to do. I don't think he understands her though. She calls him, tells him to sit and tells him to go back into the utility room.

She also says " OwSide" becaue she always wants to go outside. And "stairs" when she wants to go downstairs.

Ali Love

Remember Ali from Christmas?
Well, Saturday we went to Aunt Mary's graduation party. Arya's first thought was "CAT!" And she ran to find Ali. She spent the whole time there going back and forth of going outside to play with the dog and then she would go back inside to kind of check-on Ali.

Announcement

Soon you will notice a change to the settings of photos. That's because we bought a new house!!!!
We closed last Monday, but won't be moving until late this month. Our goal is to be all moved in by my birthday (May 3).
Right now we are working on remodeling -painting all the rooms, refinishing the hard wood floor on the main floor and getting new carpet in the downstairs. Also, we're having the driveway redone and a huge tree removed from the backyard.
Arya LOVES the new house. She likes hearing her feet as she runs across the wood floor. Right now the house is so empty that she has PLENTY of room to run. There is a fenced in backyard with a playset- this was a MAJOR point in making me like this house (the 2 fireplaces were too). Arya also seems to enjoy walking down the sidewalk. I don't really understand her fascination with it, but we don't have a sidewalk in our current neighborhood. And-the house is less than a mile from the library!!!
Here is the house! Bradley is taking down the for sale sign.
Arya moving in the first piece of furniture. Her pink chair- it was her house warming present from our fabulous real estate agent, Denise.
Arya's first nap in the new house. In the living room

Arya's first nap in her new room.
(Sorry it's so out of focus. I was far away so I wouldn't wake her.)
Bradley working so hard. He is doing most of the work all by himself.
Arya playing in her new playroom.

Arya was excited when it was finally nice enough (and most the snow was gone) for her to play on her new swingset. The only problem now is making sure she stops trying to go out unsupervised when we're doing other things.

Chocolate

Arya loves "Choc" (Chocolate)! So, naturally, her chocolate bunny was the item in her Easter basket that she was most excited about. As Daddy and I worked on food to take to Easter dinner, Arya watched Curious George. She got the boxed chocolate bunny and tried to open it (without our knowledge). She succeeded and this is what we found:
So into the bath tub she went:

Arya got the chocolate ALL over her pretty Easter dress. Luckily, I was able to get it all out in the laundry. I had to spray, scrub, soak and then run through the washer twice!
