August Iowa Trip

I did posts while we were up in Iowa. Last night I was going through files on my computer and came across the rest of the pictures from that trip.

 We actually had the entire splash pad to ourselves. Arya had a blast running wherever she wanted.

Family Movie Night

A couple months ago, Bradley said that instead of paying a babysitter and going to a movie, we could go to the drive-in to save money. He said we could just let Arya fall asleep in her carseat. So, two weeks ago that's what we did.
We put Arya in her pjs and a sweatshirt. Took a blanket, her Tigger-lovey, and plenty of snacks and drinks for her. We saw Finding Nemo and The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Arya liked Finding Nemo, especially the turtles. She fell asleep part way into the second movie. But, not in her car seat as Bradley had planned. Arya sat on our laps for most of Finding Nemo, because everytime we put her in the car seat she would strap herself back in. When she fell asleep, she spent some of the time on Daddy and some of the time of Mommy. It was nice to get snuggles in.

This was a nice way to go out and save a little money. Bradley and I will continue to do date nights as well.

Little Master

Yesterday Arya and I were bringing the dogs in from outside. I told the dogs to go to their kennels. Arya shut and locked Teddy's kennel as soon as he went in. Then saw Lilly hiding under the table. I said "Lilly..." sternly. Arya looked right at Lilly waved her hand toward the kennel and said "GET!" Lilly went right in. When I told Bradley that he said "She knows Arya means business. She's the iron fist of this family!"

Yard Work

Arya loves doing a little bit of yard work (Gramma and Grampa must be so proud). She likes to pick up all the sticks in the yard. Gramma Suzanne bought  a little wheelbarrow at a garage sale recently. Yesterday Arya used it to do her yard work. (Notice the cute outfit!)

Big Girl Bed

On Monday, Bradley turned Arya's crib into the daybed. Arya did really great and has stayed in it all night every night. Naps were even successful! We are so proud of our big girl!
